Three traits, one gene each, two alleles. Which allele wins is rolled fresh every round and kept from you. Pick two from the tank, mate them, read the clutch. Breed the target in as few crosses as you can.

The tank holds twelve. × releases one. Don’t release the only carrier of something you need.
A recessive look hides behind a dominant one. Two parents that both hide it can still pass it on, one time in four. That is the whole trick.
