Most weeks split between the ICU at St. Joe’s and volunteering with Fire District 19 in Glacier. BeCited is the main project on the side. I kayak, ski, and bike when the weather agrees.

Registered Nurse, ICU, PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center. Critical care nursing. Ventilators, drips, titrations, and the charting that goes with them. Daily work with physicians, respiratory therapy, and families.

Firefighter / EMT, Whatcom County Fire Districts 14 and 19 (Glacier). Five-plus years of structural fire and 911 EMS in a rural district, now with District 19 out of Glacier. Fire suppression, extrication, technical rescue, and medical response in rural Whatcom County.

Instructor, Remote Medical Training. Taught wilderness and remote medicine courses to adventurers, lay responders, and working professionals.

Senior Wildland Firefighter, US Forest Service · Washington DNR. Six seasons on hand crews and engines, the last few as crew lead. Line construction, burnout, holding, and mop-up. I did the medical side too.

Emergency Medical Technician, Cascade Ambulance. Private ambulance work. Transports, vitals, charting, and keeping the rig stocked and clean between calls.
